Film screenings, prep for Comic Con Honolulu, and more amidst the challenges of financing, overcoming criticism to turn it into motivation, and planning what comes next are all discussed. As always, if you've got a project you want to share, send your story to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for tuning in!
For this special edition, Haz-Matt talks to comedian Demetri Martin and that should be enough to get you to listen. But for a little extra teaser, the two talk about how he left law school to go full-time with comedy, his thoughts on how politics has influenced him, the influence of Gary Larson and The Far Side, what it takes to feel comfortable in your own voice, and a little about experiencing what the audience goes through while on tour with Dave Chappelle. Enjoy!
This week on Locally Sourced, Haz-Matt talks to Keshia of Uncovered By Keshia, a photographer who specializes in boudoir photography. Who should have a boudoir session? What styles of shots do men want taken of themselves? Let's find out!
This week, Haz-Matt speaks with Taiji Terasaki, a multi-media artist and 11-year resident of Hawaii, about his art installation at Thomas Square Park from the 8-18 called TRANSCENDIENTS. The exhibit chronicles the personal stories of the immigrant experience here in Honolulu by creating a touch-point meant to build empathy and humanize those who might not otherwise have a voice.
Amazing Comic Con Aloha takes over The AM Mayhem, as Haz-Matt sits down with Manu Bennett (Arrow, Spartacus, The Hobbit), Tara Strong (PowerPuff Girls, Batman, Rugrats, Teen Titans Go!), and the original Power Rangers Jason David Frank and Amy Jo Johnson!
On this week's Locally Sourced, Haz-Matt talks to Aaron Pughes about his experience in Honolulu's improv comedy scene and founding Think Fast Improv. So naturally, they start by asking: What the hell is ASMR? From there, it's kids, what the improv scene has grown into, the craft of in-the-moment acting, and more! Give it a listen because you have good taste.
